SANTA ANA, Calif. – December 3, 2021 -- Allied Universal®, a leading global security and facility services company, recently won three coveted ‘ASTORS’ Homeland Security Awards from American Security Today (AST) Magazine. One gold award was given for Best Airport & Aviation Security Solution for John Glenn Columbus International Airport (CMH) and a platinum award was presented to HELIAUS® for Best Machine Learning & Artificial Intelligence (AI), and a gold award for Best Security Workforce Management Platform.
The Annual ‘ASTORS’ Awards, now in its sixth year, is the preeminent U.S. Homeland Security Awards Program, highlighting the most cutting edge and forward-thinking security solutions coming into the market today.
Under the Best Airport/Aviation Security Program, Allied Universal received the Gold ASTORS award on behalf of CMH. During the past year and through the pandemic, Allied Universal was able to adapt to the ever-changing needs of the airport and new security challenges. The company helped enhance security, incorporate new training, and continuous improvement to provide CMH with advanced security features by integrating their HELIAUS platform to identify and streamline security operations.
“We are truly honored to be recognized as being on the cutting edge of implementing advanced security solutions in order to increase safety at the CMH airport,” said Charles Bohnenberger, Senior Vice President/Government at Allied Universal.
In addition, HELIAUS, a comprehensive AI-powered workforce management solution, received two ASTORS awards. One platinum award for Best Machine Learning & Artificial Intelligence and one gold award for Best Security Workforce Management program. Allied Universal’s HELIAUS platform is the smart, AI technology of tomorrow that places insight into the hands of Security Professionals. It provides real-time communication and insight to better protect people, brands, and assets. HELIAUS' AI reasons over vast amounts of data and predicts what's likely to go wrong at any given site, including safety and security incidents. But it doesn't stop there—it uses those predictions to generate site-specific recommendations to help prevent bad things from happening. Those prescriptive recommendations are passed to its advanced workflow engine to ensure they are actioned and reduce the likelihood of incidents and events.
“We're thrilled to have received these awards, which is a clear testimony of the value HELIAUS offers to security leaders,” said Mark Mullison, CIO, Allied Universal. “By bringing predictive AI together with a robust workflow engine and putting it in the hands of great, well-trained Security Professionals, HELIAUS helps drive better outcomes for thousands of clients every day.”
