SANTA ANA, Calif. – December 18, 2020 -- Allied Universal®, a leading security and facility services company in North America, recently won two coveted platinum ‘ASTORS’ Homeland Security Awards from American Security Today Magazine for outstanding security work for Miami International Airport (MIA) and the Port of Houston. 

The Annual ‘ASTORS’ Awards, now in its fifth year, is the preeminent U.S. Homeland Security Awards Program, highlighting the most cutting edge and forward-thinking security solutions coming into the market today. 

Under the Best Airport/Aviation Security Program, Allied Universal received the platinum ASTORS award on behalf of MIA.  In 2008, Allied Universal assumed the role of security partner and provider of MIA. Additionally, cybersecurity threats have grown exponentially over the past three years, and Allied Universal’s security team are responsible for managing the systems which provide clearance and access control for visitors and employees of the Port of Houston.
